The Best Way for Women to Heal Their Body (Part 1: The 4 Stages)

Good day Queens!

WHEW, it’s been quite the January with opening doors to the new Stretch Therapy space, AND getting to work with new amazing humans right away!

Do trust, there is not day that goes by that I don’t think about you and brining you a fresh modern take on Women’s Health & Fitness.

PREFACE

As you know, I only write on topics I feel are extremely important for Women’s Health & Fitness.

The goal is to approach your health and fitness regimen in a way that is in favour of your body’s natural biology.

INTRO

Today, I am talking about Healing your feminine body.

When I say ‘healing ',’ it refers to healing any pain or discourse that is currently present.

When you think about healing your body, improving your health, and improving your fitness - it is important to remember that there are stages in which this happens.

It is impossible to go from being in pain and discourse one day, to being healed the next.

If you are experiencing any pain, dysfunction, or health challenge… I am here to tell you, that there is a way to heal.

Here are the 4 steps outlining the journey of healing

  1. Acceptance

The very first stage is acknowledging your current status, and then accepting that there is in fact healing that needs to take place.

The reason you need to realize this is so there is a sense of urgency.

Without urgency, you will continue to stay in the bandwidth of your comfort zone. Perhaps a new therapist or a new class pass… however - for your goals hunny - there needs to be a commitment to healing. Healing starts from within.

I promise you it is possible but I am not going to lie and tell you that it’s gonna be comfortable and easy. It’s full of experiments.

So hence, we need that sense of urgency to be top of mind.

Look your current status straight in the eye.

2. Believing you can HEAL

The second stage of healing - is deeply believing that it is possible for you to heal.

I see many people who will spend the money and go to the treatments, but they are not willing to put in the daily, quality work.

Simple things like drinking lovely teas, or taking time to breathe, limiting the social media time suck, drinking too much, succumbing to the usual habits.

However, we cannot get change - with our usual habits.

As Dr. Joe Dispenza says - in order to heal we need to let go of the stories of what happened to us. We need to connect with one story and one story only - and that is your vision. The vision you have of your health, your body, your fitness, your physique. ALL the other stories about what you’ve done, and how it didn’t work, and the therapist, trainer, coach, etc those stories GOT to GO.

Direct that energy toward how you WANT to feel.

How you KNOW it’s possible TO feel.

3. Creating Intentions to Align with Your Goals

The third stage to healing is - creating the intentions that are aligned to your goals & visions.

What is that vision?

How can you get there?

Who can support you?

Note: I didn’t say WHO can you pay to do the work for you… I said who can support you.

What small (or big) shifts do you NEED to make?

Side note: These shifts should feel uncomfortable.

4. Re-connecting with your body.

This is simply the most powerful step for women to heal their bodies - Connecting with your body. Re-establishing the neurological connections. As women have been required to become increasingly externally-focused, action-takers, and do-ers, their energy gets drawn away from their bodies.

The Central Nervous System uses it’s resources to be in Sympathetic/Activation/Alpha Brain Wave/Survival state.

This decreases our senses, and our sensitivity.

The disassociation from our natural biology begins.

To re-connect is simple yet requires intention.

Physical touch, temperatures, scents, textures (oils, brushes, rollers), anything that encourages you attention to be drawn inward.

In closing part 1,

Whether you call it the next level of your health and fitness, the next level of womanhood, of healing - call it something that *you* connect with.

Reflect back to this next level or new season daily.

As Dr. Joe Dispenza says, by age 35 we are a memorized set behaviours, habits, and attitudes.

Be kind to yourself while looking make these shifts. It is n e v e r a perfect shift.

These are the 4 stages for women to heal their bodies.

Which step are you at?

These are some lovely areas I support women with during online sessions.

The online experience may not provide you with the instant gratification of physical relief, but it provides education and tools which are the groundwork for the feminine to heal while she ascends to her next highest vision.
