Stress Tolerance: The Cortisol Addiction

 

Do you have a High Stress Tolerance?

Do you feel like your body has the capacity to experience stress without suffering, internally?

Often times we wear our High Pain Tolerance as a badge of honour however, unknowingly - we learn after years, that our body is suffering.

This article will shine light on the difference between someones body that HAS the resources to oxidize the chemical reactions caused by stress, and someone’s body that does not.



Stress Tolerance: the cortisol addiction.



Ego-mind thinks you can handle the weight of the world (martyr syndrome), but in actuality your internal body is not equipped.

It does not have the vitamin supply, the nutrient density, oxygenated cells, to perform basic functions, let alone oxidate stress.

Additionally, you continue to exercise at your max-level, every.single.time

More stress.

Then, after 30-40 years, the body experiences some deficiencies.

This is where a catabolic state sets in, and the body can no longer support your weight and strength goals.

Having the energetic stores to grow muscle, and burn fat are asset functions…



If there is no more capacity/resources, you will find, the only way to get fit will be to workout even more, and eat even less.

It’s 9 days into 2022. Take time to try a new way of being. Healing your body isn’t weak. It’s wise.

Here are some in list form that are not mentioned in the IG Post:

  • Reduce overwhelm & stress tolerance by:

    • Planning your days.

    • Communicating your needs clearly. Ineffective communication is a big source of overwhelm and stress

  • Build your capacity by:

    • Nervous System capacity can be expanded on a brain level by celebrating your days, and then asking yourself probing questions - like: Was I in control of my day? or did my external circumstances dictate the dynamic? Did I show up the way I wanted to? Did I stay on-track with what my CURRENT body needs.

    • 95% of re-patterning though, is done via the BODY. This is what we did in the 5 week Movement Meditation series, which you can watch highlights from our classes here.

Many of us take on way too much mentally and physically. This is energetically draining and puts our body into flight mode (especially if you don’t have a grounding practice). This is where many of my clients sit. So my goal with these blogs is not to help you lose 20lbs in 20 days, but rather to develop a mind, body, spirit that are operating in unison to eliminate energy drainage.

When the body has SPARE capacity and nutrients, that is when it will THRIVE. Burn fat. Build muscle. Repair skin. Repair cell damage. And so much more.

Because I was put on this earth to help people with their health, fitness, mental well-being. This program will develop my skills as a coach and mentor to see even more transformation with 1:1 clients. This will put us all ahead of the curve to turn all this beautiful information into PURE ACTION AND MAGIC.
