What you may not know about your flexibility, and should know

Good day Health Conscious Kings & Queens!

PREFACE

My hope is for this to be a helpful reminder, as you uncover deeper layers of your flexibility, and understand your body

INTRO

Flexibility is largely influenced by the tension and lubrication of your fascial system. The spider web sheath encapsulates your entire body.

Fascia is intuitive with the internal body.

It will hold until it feels safe to express.

YOUR EMOTIONAL BODY

Think of all the things you have experienced in your life. All the pain, heartbreak, little disappointments, unclosed relationships or relationships that were severed overnight, the ways in which you feel you let people down… are experienced in your body as well.

Since emotions have an energetic vibration…and… since the fascial network is intuitive…it will energetically absorb the brunt of these emotions.

See this diagram of the energy of emotions

YOUR PHYSICAL BODY

The fascial system is a l w a y s protecting us from feeling pain.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FLEXIBILITY

Therefore, what you need to know about fascial work and stretching, and mobility work in general is that when you do work to explore new ranges and new layers, your body may want to elicit an emotional response. Something could come up.

Sometimes it is a deflective emotion: Anger, frustration, any form to resist a NEW WAY.

You releasing the current way means the Central Nervous System will have re-adapt and re-learn - and that is energetically demanding.

The Central Nervous System is always trying to conserve energy for survival. Hence why deep rest and restoration are important. Also, see my most recent 2 blogs. Creating Spaciousness for Re-patterning and The Best Way for Women to Heal their Body

Any ounce of knowledge you gather on how to transform your body is going to empower you. This email is enough… AND if you want more - the 2 (of many) authors I enjoy are Dr. Joe Dispenza and Carolyn Myss.

SO WHAT TO DO NOW?

  1. Reading this email and being open to the fact that you may experience this is plenty.

  2. If you want to release tightness you have had for years… please create a stretching environment that feels extra safe and nourishing… so you can listen to the tissues

  3. Do not worry if “listening to your tissues” or anything I have said here feels foreign to you.. it felt foreign to me as well just 3 years ago. It actually triggered me because I wasn’t there on my journey yet, and wanted to kick and scream about it.

  4. Make your practice a familiar and known routine.

WHAT NOT TO DO?

  1. As soon as you hit a painful point in the stretch you jump out of it… “it’s too much, it hurts.” How about back off… breathe…trust….

  2. Expect a quick treatment to “fix” you.

A FLEXIBLE MIND, BREEDS A FLEXIBLE BODY

Sometimes you will be triggered along the journey…because things are not exactly how you need them to be, or this should have happened by now, or something is wrong with you, or the therapist, or any little stories that keep you within a comfortable bandwidth.

Expanding your capacity for the work is the vehicle that will take you from where you are now to your visions.

Sometimes, you will be triggered along the journey…because things are not exactly how you need them to be, or this should have happened by now, or those little stories that keep you within a comfortable bandwidth.

There is no judgement in any of it. Just acknowledgement of the stories and compassion to let them pass, until the next time.

One thing I can tell you from personal experience and watching my clients is - untying the “knots” in your body, makes everything seems easier and smoother. The success is bittersweet and suddenly the little things don’t matter anymore.

Sending you soo much support, & strength on your journey of flexibility and optimal health.
