My 3 Holiday Tips

For a year and a half, we have been initiated into a variety of situations, while CONTINUING to practice acceptance of what is. Whew!

The energetic requirement of managing emotions can be significantly large.

As it is we have about 60-70,000 thoughts per day.

Now more than ever, we must be conscious of the quality of those thoughts.

Worrying = low vibrational.
Gratitude & Love = high vibrational

~ My 3 Holiday Tips ~

1. What is Deep Rest?

Whilst it might seem like an opportune time to get some extra workouts in...sure if you've been lazy with workouts all year, YES. If you've been pretty on it - I advise doing a real check-in with your body. Does your body feel optimized? How have you felt all year?

Last week, one of my fit female clients came in, sore, in pain, and mentally exhausted. I recommend the gentle Foam Rolling flow that we did together, and... Deep rest. She asked what this meant exactly, SUCH a great question!

Here is almost a copy of what I wrote back.

I consider deep rest when you fully allow yourself to rest.

Make it a point to restore your Nervous System. So rather than say laying on the couch watching tv, we want to actually reduce stimulation. Visual stim is very engaging for the brain and doesn't allow deep rest because the body still has to process info.

Secondly, restoring your tissues. Hydrate with herbal teas, bath in Epsom salt - or even regular salt baths. Perhaps decreasing caffeine to support the adrenals.

Deep cleaning breaths.
High vibrational foods - let me know if you have questions about this.
Nature walks. Fresh air.

Lastly, some form of meditation. Stretching or anything to help bring you back into your body.

Here is a breath awareness medi I recorded. The Breathwork is essential for healing and allowing the body to restore.

2. Face massage and Neck Stretches

If you have 'face roller things' sitting around, dust it off, slather on some oil and roll gently. Why? Because it's the holidays, and that may mean extra indulgences. Sugar causes wrinkles and alcohol dries out your everything. Recirculate & lubricate with gentle stretches and massage.

3. Optimize Your Body

For the people in the back! Rather than working out more or trying to "cleanse" tomorrow... I recommend OPTIMIZING your body. This can mean MANY things however since it's the holidays here are some time-saving tips to OPTIMIZE your body:

  • Green powders: Greens in any form, are an absolute must to support & heal thy body. (I recommend either Arbonne's or Gardens of Life).

  • Fruits & fibers: Necessary for Gut Health which is responsible for balanced hormones & weight loss. Gut Health is a recurring topic in my online Re-Focus Sessions! Please reach out if you crave support on how to overcome bloating.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar & Pickled foods: Gut Health, and Mental health go directly hand-in-hand. A healthy gut produces mood-boostings neurotransmitters. Stress affects both Gut and Brain chemistry, on a cellular level. Optimize & Support.

I wish you a wisdom, progress, and a deeper understanding of your body than you had last year. It's a journey, there is no end, there is no failure!
